Here ended our lovely time away.   We left Cranbrook mid day on August 1st and headed to Osoyoos where we visited my Grandparents for one night.  Then travelled to the lowermainland where we visited family and friends until the 8th.  The 8th -10th was spent in the Interior with my parents.  Then on the 10th, we travelled to the Okanagan to check on our townhouse (which continues to be well kept) and have a brief visit with friends.  We then went as far as Golden where we stayed one night at The Prestige (for 1/2 price because of Chris' C.P. Rail discount)!  The morning of the 11th, we only had about a 3 hour drive home and pulled in the driveway by 11am! 

We had a really good time.  It was our first road trip in the mini van and we learned a few things about it! 
1)  The gas gauge went down below a half a tank and then back to a half a tank!
2) The check engine light came on when Chris pulled out to pass :0/ (thought we were done with that check engine light nonsense after selling the s.u.v)
3) After all of Chris' hard work wiring the stereo, it still continued to only work with the headlights on!!!  We went through one of many short tunnels (while driving in the mountains with out the headlights on), and voila, the headlights came on automatically and so did the stereo!  We discovered there is a light sensor on the dash that affects the stero AND Chris did all of the work on the stereo while it was parked in the carport, which has dimmer light!
