
Mix 4 cups of homogenized milk and 1/2 cup of powdered milk (to make it thicker) in a pot/double boiler.

For a starter, get a container of good quality yogurt from a health food store.
Warm
the starter in a bowl of water (1/4 cup). It is important to not change the
starters temperature too quickly or the bacteria will die.

prepping the containers --650 g a batch will fill almost 2 of these

turn on the oven to the lowest setting (150ºF) to warm it.

Heat the milk and powdered milk to almost to 170ºF.

Then place in a sink of cold water and cool it to 110ºF.

Add room temperature starter to mixture.

| Turn on oven light and open oven. |

| Place yogurt inside oven and turn off oven. |
 |
| Place a tea towel over top of bowl of yogurt and close oven door. LEAVE LIGHT ON! |

| I have usually made it in the evening and by morning, the yogurt is ready. Sometimes it is a bit runny, but add some jam or honey for sweetner or put it in a smoothy! |
