It was perfect. Special, simple, fun, good.
We were very glad that Chris didn't have to go to Fernie on December 23rd on a service call for work. We would have had to live with it, but being together before and during Christmas is what means most to our family. We enjoyed an afternoon Christmas Eve Service at our church followed by some snacks and long awaited treats that we saved for this special occasion. I even managed to save 4 pieces of almond rocha for the family (from my step-mother-in-law in Powell River)
Christmas Eve evening, we watched Christmas Veggie Tales one last time and I think some other Christmas shows.
Aren't Justin and Ashleigh adorable in the picture above? Justin is sporting his new toque from Chris' aunt and uncle and binoculars from Ashleigh. Ashleigh is sporting her new toque from Chris' aunt and uncle and a stuffy snake from Justin. They look like they are going on some safari ;0)
At noonish, we headed to our friends, Mark and Sarah's place for turkey dinner, sledding, games and hot tubbin'.
