Well, Chris' time away is about half done. It's actually gone by pretty fast, although in some ways it seems like ages ago that he left. I've been counting down on the calendar with Justin. He even tried to correct me the other day when I said 6 days until daddy comes home! He said, "no, 10!" (that was the start of it). This time with Daddy gone, he has comprehended more and even begged to go with him on the airplane.
I've had four good evenings to my self, getting projects done and just enjoying the quiet),and one lonely one.
Chris' first hotels didn't have internet in his room (just in the lobby) like he hoped, but he did phone to let us know he made it to the Canary Islands. His luggage didn't though, it was left in Madrid, he had to wait a couple days for it. So, we've received a couple emails and text messages and lots of phone calls. :0) We have yet to see him on the web cam. Maybe in Greece, he's there now and probably getting settled in or sleeping or working...He's staying in the hotel he stayed in last time he was in Greece and has internet in hotel rooms.
Justin, Ashleigh and I ventured out to New Westminster to visit friends yesterday morning and it felt soo GOOD to get out of the house! We are very thankful for the pool that our freinds upstairs have...keeps us cool! We could have other days, but it's been so HOT, havn't felt like doing anything. Yesterday was cooler, nice break from the heat.
So today, Ashleigh awoke at 6:40am. First time in a week! It's been nice sleeping in until 7 and sometimes 8!
I've been lazing on the couch all morning and now it's time to start the day.
