We've lived here in Cranbrook 11 months now. Wow! Hard to believe
it has been almost 1 year! We feel more and more settled each month and
are so thankful for the people we've met and got to know.
On
Thursday, 12 other parents and I accompanied Ashleigh's class and two
teachers on a field trip to Calgary where we saw Science World and the
Zoo! It was a jam packed trip, but so much fun. We also stayed the
night inside the zoo with the hippos and giraffes and ever so NOISY
peacocks! Ah well, we survived. I am still in awe that I got to sleep
next to the giraffes, my favorite :0)
After a wonderful pancake, sausage, fruit salad breakfast (and fruit loops), we were back on the road again.

| The ever so adorable penguins. |

| Giraffes make me happy. |
 |
| The gigantic hippos! There was only one close encounter with their flying poo! |
 |
| I could not get enough pictures of the giraffes. |
 |
| The two of them together. One was a female in her twentys and the other was a younger male. |
 |
| There was an evening program where the children had a guided tour of the building we stayed the night in (meer cats and other animals were also inside). Then they listened to a presentation on the African Savanah, did a craft, learned some drumming and a dance and also took part in a skit! This was all wrapped up my 10:10pm and then we set up the cots and winded down for the night. It was late, but an amazing experience! |
