Baking a cake all by herself - July 2012

You aren't a baby anymore, but you are still our baby girl.  In the past year, you have matured.  You mostly like to do things on your own, but don't mind me helping from time to time.  In the LAST few months, you learned how to put a pony tail in your own hair!  This summer, you baked a cake and decorated it all on your own.  I only supervised and confirmed the measurements.

You braved going to school for the first time (last year) and this year did it again at a new school.  Two days ago, when asked if you wanted two braids in your hair instead of one, your reply was, "No, two don't go with this outfit" (School Picture Day).

Today, I get to join you and your brother's classes on a field trip!  We are going to Kettle Ck and because of it's 100th Anniversary, they are serving a hot dog, drink and cake.  It sounds like it'll be a fun time.

After school, some of your class mates are coming over and we will have your party.

Today you are eight years old......and Google is 14.
