A Wonderful Weekend Away

Friday afternoon, Justin, Ashleigh and I went to Little Fort to see my parents. It was a fun filled weekend. We arrived at their house at 7:30pm Friday night and stayed until 4pm Monday afternoon.

My dad really connected with us this trip :0)

We all went for walks with their dogs and saw the most beautiful water falls!

My mom took us for a car ride to buy chocolate covered almonds (20 minutes each way...the kids LOVE riding in Grandma's car, and chocolate covered almonds, of course).

Ashleigh talked lots to my dad. This was a first ;0)

We swam in their pool.

Justin discovered he COULD touch the bottom and the next day, Ashleigh could too ;0)

The kids rode bikes.

We played music together.

We three slept together in a king size bed :0)

My parents dog slept by our side on the floor.

Hours of watching "Tree House" (J&A)

J&A watched "Flinstones" for the first time ;0)

Bath time in Grandma's special tub.

Late night talk with my mom.

Ice cream cones from Grandma and "Drum Stick" ice cream treats from Grandpa.

Horse back rides from the neighbors. A FIRST for Justin and Ashleigh :0)

No camera. :0(

Justin cried many tears because he didn't want to go home. :0(1

Chocolate covered almonds to feel better ;0)

On the way home, Grandma treated us to a train ride on an old Steam Engine in Kamloops. Wow. Justin was EXTATIC! We waited until an hour before the ride to tell him and Ashleigh.

Grandma bought us a disposable camera to take on the train ride and she also bought a Documentary DVD after the train ride. :0) :0) :0)

(This photo is from the internet....maybe once we get the camera developed, we can scan some pictures and post them ;0) )
