Last week, Justin raced again. Out of the three races for the night, he placed 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, so overall, 2nd placed!
During one of the races, he crashed in to a little girl, who had fallen down. It was near the end of the track and Chris happened to be out there supervising the track. He was close by, so helped him up and encouraged him to finish the race, and Justin did. I was a teary mama, so proud of our boy! The announcer noted Justin's efforts and said, "there is Gilbank, he's getting up and he's going to finish this race! And Gilbank is coming in for the 3!"
Justin was disappointed that he didn't come in 1st, and almost gave up racing, but we assured him that we are proud of him and love him no matter what!
