Here are some pictures of the dishwasher progress:
This was our portable one. We enjoyed it while we had it, and were really grateful that it came with the house, but time to say good bye.

(Oops, a lop-sided picture! Uh, scratch that, the microwave is lop-sided. This was BEFORE Chris bought his new 2' level, AND the upper cupboard isn't square) This is what it was like for a week. We could use the dishwasher, just not place anything on top. See the microwave on the shelf? Yay! More counter space! The reason why there are small upper cupboards above the microwave is because our fridge used to be there. Chris moved it over to the left. He's so awesome...he didn't just move the fridge over and plug it in to any old outlet, he installed a new outlet, so the fridge would be on it's on breaker, (like it is supposed to be)! It was a LOT of work!

Chris still wants to cover those 2x4's to the left of the dishwasher, but no hurry. Look, we gained a few more inches of counter top! (Look at first picture of this post to see how the portable looked) Oh, and the microwave is no longer as lop-sided...I really have to practice holding the camera straight!
TA DA! Not bad, eh? As you can see the counter top over the dishwasher does not match the rest of the counter top, but it does NOT clash! One of these days we'll get around to re-doing the kitchen, but for now, it's all good! And to think we survived for months with the fridge where the dishwasher is AND the microwave on the counter!

you are a trooper! I get frustrated with my counter space....but you will see it when you get here.....so i totally "get it"...
