Here are some highlights for the month of June:
(Well, a sad start to June)
June 2nd: Chomps, our budgie, passed away... :0( I think Chris and I took it harder than the kids.
We've enjoyed a few play dates at local parks.
June 14th (afternoon): Sun shine festival. Chris took Justin and Ashleigh while mommy came home and had a nap and tidied house a bit. This way, everyone could be dropped off and picked up, rather than trying to find a parking spot down town for this festival. Justin and Ashleigh had so much fun! They brought home the CUTEST stuffed animals...WEBKINZ!!! Ashleigh a racoon and justin a kitten.
June 14th (evening): Grandpa Ron (Chris' dad) arrived with Sally dog and stayed one week.
June 15th - Father's Day: Church in the morning, followed by shopping for Daddy in the afternoon. This year, we gave Chris money to pick out what he would like for Father's Day and we made it a family outing.
Chris also made the BEST strawberry rhubarb torte (aka crisp) with strawberries from the grocery store and rhubarb from our neighbor.
Grandpa Ron bought steak and greek salad ingredients for our wonderful Father's Day supper. MMMMmmmmmmmmmmm. We had it again the next night....mm
June 16th: Ashleigh wrote a letter "A" all by herself!
(in the evening, same day) Grandpa Ron and Chris tackled the hole in the ceiling (from taking the wall down in the kitchen, which has had a lovely table cloth hanging from it that looked like clouds) and worked on it all week, little bits at a time with the mudding of dry wall and such.
Here is a picture of the "clouds."
June 18th: Chris purchased a "project" truck from Caroline's Grandpa.----will let Chris post about that ;0)
June 20th: Chris brought home project truck and took Caroline out on a date. Yes, I sat in the middle to be right beside him. Grandpa Ron looked after Justin and Ashleigh.
June 21st: Steve arrived at 7:10am to help Chris rip out carpet in living room and put down laminate. While he is setting up the tools, we all go out to A & W and Grandpa Ron treats us to breakfast. Then Grandpa Ron and Sally leave for home.
I'll have to stop there and post this. Also, I'll post pictures later...

Wow! You HAVE been busy. No wonder you've had no time to blog it all.
So sorry to hear about Chomps. It's never easy to lose a pet.
