Birds

Tuesday, we went on a field trip to "Birds of Prey". This is what we saw:

A Bald Eagle. We learned that it doesn't get a white head until it is around 7 years old. You can see the tail feathers starting to appear white. This one is about 5 years old.

A Falcon.


A Golden Eagle.


The birds were amazing. We also learned that that all three of them need to be kept separate from one another or they could kill each other.

Towards the end of the presentation, we got to see the Falcon fly around. There was a magpie nest nearby and the mother magpie wasn't happy about the Falcon flying around. Crows were squaking too.
