"Chomps" The Blogging Buddy, I mean Budgie

Chomps is our new baby budgie!

When Chris was a child, his family had a blue budgie named Chomps and we've been talking about getting one for awhile.

Now that we are settled in our new house, we thought he'd be a perfect Christmas present for our family.

Chris picked him up from the pet store Christmas Eve and we took him to our neighbors for a few hours. Then once Justin and Ashleigh were fast asleep, we brought him over and wrapped the cage and set him by the tree.

Christmas morning, when J&A started to unwrap the cage, Ashleigh squealed, "It's a pigeon! I think it's a pigeon!" Justin said with glee, "It's a budgie!"

Ashleigh has been calling him "Pidgie"

oh, and please note, I changed the blog colors to that of "Chomps"

Here are all 7 of our stockings...Sally's is in the middle, "No. 1 Dog"

Chris got a chair for his "office" in the basement...

I got a beautiful "tug boat" picture printed on canvas, 48" X 12". Chris took this picture with a pocket size digital camera while working on a boat in Italy. No one else has this print!
Grandpa and Grandma got a deer calling thing and rattle (sounds like antlers banging together).

Boxing Day, the boys went "hard water fishing" on Swan Lake and Grandpa caught this beautiful rainbow trout.

It took them 4 hours to get ready and they only fished 1 hr before their feet got cold. The ice had 4" of slush on top. Justin and Sally were soaked!
