This is us last October at the Pumpkin Patch in Maple Ridge. We havn't ventured out yet to find one here in Vernon.
On Thanksgiving day, we hosted our FIRST Thanksgiving dinner. Well, now that we have an oven, thought we should put it to the test!
My grandparents from Kelowna joined us and my uncle came too. Everyone was such a big help. The saying, "too many chefs in the kitchen spoils the dinner"? Not at this house! We learned so much and were so thankful the power waited to go out just as we were sitting down to dinner :0) We heard it wasn't going to come on until 9pm! Just as we started taking turns beating the whipping cream, it came back on! wahoo! (no it didn't take until 9pm to get the cream whipped, it only ended up being off about 1/2 hr) We were also thankful it came back on so we could get the dish washer going!
Well that was our thanksgiving. Oh, and we went to my parents Friday/Saturday and had a very tasty turkey there :0)
We have so much to be thankful for...our children, good health and also our new house :0)
Thank you Lord.

Sounds like you had a nice Thanksgiving in spite of a short power outage.
