Yesterday, we all went over to the storage unit. The "cubs" stayed strapped in their car seats while Chris and I loaded his company van (such a blessing for this move) and our pathfinder with the last of our stuff. The storage unit is only 0.7km from our house. How handy is that?
We each did 2 trips and Chris had to make a 3rd to get the last 3 boxes that just wouldn't fit. It's 24/7 access, so handy, as the office closed as we were finishing up. Chris will go over this morning to break the news to the storage unit people. We're happy to announce that "The StorIT Place" won't be getting another full month's payment of $140.66 :0)
We did it!
And as Dora the Explorer would say, "Lo hocimos!"
Now the fun of unpacking more boxes. It is pretty fun actually...seeing the excitement of Justin and Ashleigh as they once again see things like their "fish banks" (fish shaped money holders) in which have been packed since early May.
We held our Yard Sale on Saturday. It was pretty slow, but sold some stuff and made some good memories for sure. I'll never forget the enthusiasm of one man who was so happy to buy my thermos! Got about 1/2 a dozen customers in the 5.5 hrs we ran it. Made a whopping $19.85! It's $19.85 we didn't have though and Justin and Ashleigh were excited to get a new movie as a reward for parting with some toys :0) What didn't sell, we took to the thrift store :0)
At least it didn't rain and it wasn't too hot and we have a bit more space in our basement!
In lieu of the "busy-ness" of the Yard Sale, this is what Chris accomplished:
Before:

After:

Chris replaced the old "Lava Rock" with this beautiful "cedar mulch"! He actually tried to wash the rock, but the washing of it was slow and being on a water meter and all, it was actually cheaper to buy the 7 bags of cedar mulch! Chris is sure he spent that much in water washing to two shovels worth of rock! He also moved the honey suckle (on the right), so it's closer to the lattice to climb beautifully!
