A Different Kind of Egg Hunt

Yesterday we went to Mike Lake and walked all the way around it. No stroller this time...Justin and Ashleigh did well!

After the walk, we went down the the beach and walked out on the doc. Chris spotted some Frog Eggs in the Lake. He was determined to catch some, so we could watch them hatch in to tad poles. So, he took off his boots and socks and rolled up his pants and stepped in the cold lake (it was pretty shallow) and caught some. We cut off the top of our disposable water bottle and put them in. They were really cool. A big gob of a gel like substance with little eggs inside.

When we got home, we put them in a jar and pboned around to try and track down a small fish tank.

Once they hatch, we plan to take them back to Mike Lake and release them.
