Chris' request for Father's Day was to go to Francis Lake for the afternoon. Chris had been there before. Way back in March, he and a friend went camping for one night.
Saturday night, we packed the truck with all but the food, and after church headed for the bush! It was about a 2.5 hr drive to get there. The lake is located on the west side of Harrison Lake.
The entrance to the lake is 4X4 access only and boy did we have a blast exploring all the different logging roads! Some were STEEP! The truck had no problem going up and down the rough terrain!

Here are Chris and the cubs (aka kids) at the entrance to Francis Lake. You can kind of see in blue writing, the word "lake" and pointing to the road above (there was another road leading to the left).
Note: this picture was taken on the way home.

We weren't going to light a camp fire to roast hot dogs, too dangerous with the cubs. Chris couldn't resist starting a small one though.

Both Ashleigh and Justin were asleep while we were exploring, finding our way to the Francis Lake entrance. Ashleigh woke up soon upon our arrival and got some cuddles with Daddy.
