Almost time to say good bye to renting.

At the beginning of the month, we wrote our last rent cheque!  It is not official yet, but the process is almost complete.  CHMC approved us yesterday for another mortgage.  Can you believe it?  By the end of this month, we'll own two houses! (We still own our townhouse in Vernon). We weren't going to consider this until maybe next year, but our land lady is moving and needs to sell the house we are living in.  We did look around and other houses in our price range are in pretty rough shape in what looks like rough neighborhoods.  Also, trying to find another house to rent would be daunting.  There isn't much out there.

We are getting it for an awesome price and are so thankful.  We are also looking forward to our mortgage payment being less than what we were paying in rent!  Yipee!
