The Cakes

I am pretty proud of myself :0) I rented the cake pan from "Bulk Barn" for $2. Not bad, hey?


Once the cake had cooled, I froze it and then worked at it little by little. It was a "Dark Chocolate Cake" from the "Company's Coming" Cook book, but the icing was store bought as that just works better for me :0)


The little white candies were tricky as I had to cut little pieces from a bigger white candy as I couldn't find any small enough. A blob of white icing might have worked out better, but that's ok. The guitar "strings" are pieces of thread. It would have been nice if they went on straighter, but....I had to stop and realize that it is just a cake that was going to get cut up and eaten:0)



This is the one I made for the day of his birthday. It's ok...
