The almost extreme Living Room make over...

I say almost because the couch really didn't move all that much (much to my dissapointment) and we didn't paint.

After lots of thought, we realized that the train table can not go up to Justin's room and be played with un-attended.

We needed to buy a new shelf and move some things around to make it fit in our Living Room because behind the couch was just too crowded!

So, to the right is our new shelf that we bought from IKEA and to our surprise it is real wood!

We bought a wall bracket for the television.

Ooooh, would you look at that? You can actually walk through this door way now! I'll have to find pictures of what it looked like before.

K, this is the best picture I can find for now.

In this one, you can see the edge of the train table almost touches the pantry (brown cabinet), which took up most of the door way.

Here is how the couch sits now, just on a bit of an angle to make it different enough for me and close enough to the tv for Chris.

Since this door way to the living room was pretty much blocked anyways, we positioned the record player (that was my great grandparents) as it never fit right on the little wall between the two door ways. Would you believe that we can listen to music from the internet through these speakers? My hubby is pretty smart ;0)

We still have the cabinet that used to be beside the t.v., but now it is on the other side of the room beside the Piano. It holds J&A's school books and some other books in the big drawers. It was cute watching the kids get their books for school this morning, because they would giggle after going to where there books used to be and then having to go to the other side of the room to go get them. I'm glad they find humor in it!

For more of what the Living Room looked like before, just click on the videos of J&A from a couple of days ago ;0)

I love changing things up like that every so often. It's almost like having a new room!
