Home from Holidays...

...and more "holiday" time to come ;0)

December 9th-18th, we went away. December 9th, we just went as far as Langley and spent the night at my aunt and uncle's. It was a short, but good visit. :0)

The morning of December 10th, we caught the 8:30 ferry to Powell River. We arrived at Chris' dad and step mom's in the early afternoon. We had fun, we relaxed, it was GLORIOUS! I floated from the puzzle table to the couch to knit or crochet. We got some good deals at the local thrift store, a much aniticipated part of the trip ;0)

Monday the 13th, we went to Chris' aunt and uncle's in Powell River and we again, relaxed, sat in the hot tub on a blistery night (which wasn't actually relaxing for me...), walked along the ocean on a windy day...

Mid-day on the 15th, Chris' birthday, we headed back to Chris' parents place. We enjoyed a turkey dinner and scrumptious butter scotch cake.

On the 17th, our last day there, we picked cranberries on the bog and enjoyed home made cranberry sauce with left over turkey.

December 18th, we got up super early and caught the first ferry home (5:35am). We actually did the whole trip in one day! It was loooooonnng. Chris' parents were sick toward the end of our visit and we didn't know if we were going to get it or what, so rather than risk it and stay at our friends house in Port Coquitlam to break up the trip and maybe get them sick, we boogied it home and thank goodness we never got what Chris' parents had (puking and diarreah), so far ;0) At 5:00pm, we pulled in to Vernon and swung by the grocery store to get some grub for supper.

I'll have to post pics later, but just wanted to update the blog.

Still feeling in holiday mode, soChris set up a puzzle table in the living room. We still hope to get a tree...Christmas time is near!
