Race Night!

Justin did well at Race Night tonight! He placed 5th, 3rd and 4th! Way to go!

We could see that he was trying really hard!

There weren't as many kids at Race Night tonight, maybe because it's summer?

One of my favorite parts of the night was when I congratulated Justin on his races and he leaned over to give me a hug and said, "Thanks Mom!"
(I'm taking it in all I can, the hugging mom in public....)




Ashleigh is making progress too, in a different way. At BMX, she is often bored, and when other little girls or boys come to watch, she has been shy, or wanted me "there" right by her side or to come with her to play with new friends. She was also bummed out because a little girl she met last year, stopped coming.

Lately, she has stepped out of her comfort zone and played with new friends without me right beside her at all times. A couple of weeks ago, she went and sat on a blanket with a friend, a few feet away from me. That's courage! Way to go girl! I loved watching her play and laugh with her friend Rebecca tonight ;0) They had so much fun together.
