Another Project Complete

Two years ago in May, we built this roof out back. We put a tarp on and it lasted the winter. The following spring we put another layer of tarp on and it lasted another winter (the one we just had). Finally we got around to roofing this roof on the weekend of April 10th and 11th. Then the frame work just needed to be stained. Chris had some of it done, but not all. This past weekend, we worked together and "got 'er done"!


Here is a close up picture of the beautiful roof! The living room isn't any darker than before, so we are happy about that. Maybe the dirt on the tarp gradually got us used it?

Here is another picture of the roof. If you look closely, you can see the fence with lattice (close to the house) that divides our yard from the neighbors to the left. It wasn't stained and looked horrible (this picture was taken after I started staining it). Click on image to enlarge it.

Voila! A close up of the beautiful fence with lattice! I don't want to lean anything against it (we had some old boards there before). Doesn't it look amazing!?
