Before:

When we moved in, lava rock was here. After Chris trimmed the trees in August, we wanted to clean things up a bit. The rock was really dirty and unattractive. Chris tried to wash it, but to took FOREVER to do a small amount, so he hauled it out and we figured some nice cedar mulch would be good. WRONG! It was a quick, inexpensive fix, but we should have known it would become a community litter box with the amount of cats in this neighborhood!

First stump out!

Justin finds a worm!

Second stump out! Yeah, we used the truck.

All tidied up. We were thankful that it is free to haul yard waste to the dump until the end of the month. The silvery things are coffee cans that are burried in the soil. We plan to put nicer trees later.

Then our neighbor who drives a dump truck, blessed us with some river rock...lots and lots of river rock...so much that our neighbors on either side got some and he did too.

Chris marked on the side of the house where the coffee cans are.

This is on the other side of our steps.
