At the Ocean a couple days before Christmas.
I'm finally getting around to posting an update of our Christmas.
Christmas in Powell River was a blast! It felt so good to get AWAY, all 4 of us together. (we made many trips away to my parents when Chris left the country 7 times last year).
We left on the 16 of December at 7:12am and took all day to get to Chris' dad and step mom's place. Along the way, we met up with Chris' dad's new cousin, Don in Sechelt. He and his wife Bev welcomed us in to their home and we got to know each other. Don was adopted at a very young age and only discovered Chris' dad and other family members in the last 4 years.
We enjoyed a nice lunch of Spaghetti with Don and Bev, spent some time outside (chance for Justin and Ashleigh to run around) and continued on our journey to Powell River. Here is a picture of Chris and Don outside their house.

At 6pm, we arrived at Chris' dad and step mom's place and it was sure good to get there! T'was a looooong day!
Dinner was served soon after our arrival and Uncle Rob joined us. It was dinner in the dark though...after some renovations some time ago, the dining room light didn't get installed and we never even noticed during our last visit in Summer 2004. So, guess what Chris got to do? Climb up in tot he attic and hook up light!
